Here’s Netflix’s Final Witcher Trailer

Here’s Netflix’s Final Witcher Trailer

I know I’m going to be binging The Witcher this time next week as soon as it drops, but until then, the shots in this trailer will have to do.

There’s plenty of great shots in The Witcher‘s final trailer, showing large-scale battles, a lot more magical effects and spell usage, and most importantly: Roach.

God I hope the series is good.

  • I was very, very worried about Superman as Geralt of Rivia, but am less so now.

In the inevitable (well, inevitable for us nerds at least) comparisons between the characters in the game and the show, I find I’m most concerned about Yennefer of Vengerberg. She looks spot on, but I’m going to miss the condescending sneer Denise Gough brought to her voice in the Witcher III. Looks like they’re not going to pull any punches with her brutal backstory though.

    I’m excited.

    • From the early comments I’ve seen the battle scenes make GoT look amateurish. Thats saying something, even allowing for any possible hype. And if the fights are that brutal, a lot of other things should be as well so I doubt they’d go soft on her backstory.

I’ll be binging over the break myself so it doesnt really matter to me, but what I’ve seen and read so far leaves me more hopeful than I was a couple of months ago.

    • Keep in mind the series is based off the books, not off the games. While the games have many of the same characters as the books, they took some creative liberties, and they new stories. This sticks a bit closer to the original source material.

      • Agree completely, but the game versions are what we’re going to be comparing them too.

Even people who hated the Harry Potter movies still had their imagining of the characters modified by them.

      • I had thought that but was quite confused to here him referred to as “Geralt of Rivia” since I thought he didn’t earn that title until pretty late in the series? Been a while since I read the books.
