I actually have a screenshot I took from the third game as my dashboard background and it’s beautiful, it’s not here and a massive spoiler but it’s of Valhalla and there’s like a beautiful rainbow night sky, so good!
Pretty sure that “we all” didn’t take the The Banner Saga’s art for granted.
In fact, its “lovely Disneyesque art style” was just about the first thing every review mentioned, and pretty much sold on its own a game that was otherwise a pretty stock standard grid-based tactical RPG.
