Happy Friday! It’s the end of another week, and that means it’s time for another Kotaku Australia stream. This go around, we’re getting a bit weird and exploring one of Steam’s hidden gems: Cruelty Squad.
At first glance it seems to be a obscure, surreal shitpost — and on second glance it seems… actually, the same. But its overwhelmingly positive reviews and avant garde style is very, very intriguing. So Alex and I are going to jump in and give it ago. Yes, it’s probably going to be very, very weird. It looks a bit like it’s going to make me cry. But it also looks like a great time, so fingers crossed it turns out to be a real blast.

Note: The game does have an epilepsy warning in its Steam description, so please be mindful if you’re at risk of seizures. We’re going into this game blind, so we don’t know whether we’re able to avoid this feature.
