See Games Differently
Some of those look pretty darn sweet, until you realise that the process here is essentially to boot up PaintShop Pro and apply some art brushes to touch up an existing photo.
In this case, in particular, you can really see how little effort has gone into touching up the faces. Hell, Buzz Lightyear and Harley Quinn even use the exact same photo base.
Not that there isn’t some talent here in working up a stock image with a painterly, fantasy feel, but it’s kinda the same difference as comparing the talent of a good karaoke singer with that of a professional singer-songwriter.
