Grand Theft Auto 6 Rumour Mill In Overdrive After Fans Spot Hidden Video On Rockstar’s Website

Keen-eyed fans have spotted a new, private video recently uploaded to the official Rockstar Games website – and rumours of an imminent Grand Theft Auto 6 are running wild online.

A screenshot of the new upload, which is visible when searching ‘rockstargames video’ on Google, was shared to X (formerly Twitter) by Rockstar Games news account Rockstar Universe. Clicking on the video link, which appears to have been retimed at the time of writing this to show an upload one hour ago, directs to the general videos page on the official website with no new video in sight, suggesting a private video (potentially related to Grand Theft Auto 6) is lurking somewhere in the backend ready for potential release.

The sneaky upload has fans online speculating that Rockstar Games might have news about Grand Theft Auto 6 very soon – to the point that Rockstar and the GTA6 hashtag are now trending on Twitter.

GTA6 has done the rounds through the rumour mill plenty over the last year and a bit, with an early gameplay footage leak in September 2022. Reddit users also recently spotted a new pink and white version of the Rockstar logo on one of the dev’s LinkedIn profiles, which has further fuelled speculation of an incoming new title or reveal.

While Rockstar London does have a pink logo, fans pointed out this was a different shade from the one used in the graphic designer’s profile – further adding to the evidence that something is potentially on the horizon. “What does this mean? It means that someone who seems to work at Rockstar Games waited for nearly 18 months, choosing this week to show a graphic that strongly implies Vice City themes. Why now? It’s probably because the company is on the verge of marketing GTA6,” one user said on the Reddit post.

All of these Grand Theft Auto 6 rumours and crumbs of evidence have yet to be confirmed by Rockstar Games themselves, but they certainly add to the pile of a potential trailer drop soon – just this week, a leaker took to 4chan to suggest an October 26 reveal date, so we might not have long to wait to see if there’s anything to this mystery upload or the GTA6 whispers across internet forums.
