The Fallout TV Show Finally Has A Release Date

Fallout, the TV show based on the popular, post-apocalyptic video game franchise, finally has a release date.

The show will arrive on Prime Video on April 12, 2024. Little of the show has been seen so far, beyond some set photos from last year. We know that the show is set in Los Angeles’ Vault 33 (a non-canon location created specifically for the show) and Prime Video dropped a piece of official key art a couple of months ago that may or may not have been created using AI.

Prime Video’s official Fallout social media accounts announced the show’s release date this morning, though displaying the date in the (inferior) American format (4.12.24) created some confusion about whether it was dropping in April or December.

At this point, a trailer cannot be far off. The show has been in the can and moving through post-production since late last year. With only six months before the show is set to premiere, this is but the first real rumbling of the marketing machine to come.

While I don’t expect Prime Video’s Fallout TV show to be on the level of something like HBO’s The Last of Us, it will hopefully fare better than Paramount+’s Halo TV series. And if you, like me, forgot that the Halo TV show even existed until this exact moment, I would not judge you.

Fallout arrives on Prime Video from April 12, 2024.
