The video “Pantone Pixels,” published in 2011, was an independent art project that used a swath of colours to illustrate a picture of the creator’s parents. Last week, Vimeo took it down. Turns out it was too similar to “Pixels,” a 2015 movie starring Adam Sandler.
Surprising absolutely nobody, I’m sure. Here’s a trailer for Pixels, that movie where aliens mistake video games as a declaration of war, and Adam Sandler breathlessly says the names of a couple of video game franchises:
While the sequel to River City Ransom is still in development, the folks behind the 8-bit Cinema series resurrected the classic NES beat ’em up for a crossover clip with Happy Gilmore, an Adam Sandler movie from 1996.
