A demon and an angel need to kill lots of people to stop Armageddon. That’s the premise of God’s Trigger, a gory top-down shooter whose slick combat and interesting levels help make it more than just another Hotline Miami wannabe.
Top-down bloodbath Hotline Miami is defined by its perspective, but horror dev Puppet Combo decided to flip that anyway and remake the game’s first level as a third-person PS1-like experience.
When you have two games as iconic as these, it’s kind of bizarre that someone hasn’t tried to mash them up before.
