Apparently Doom is not the only game being ported or modded by fans over and over to run on the most unusual things. Finnish modder Pekka Väänänen was able to make Quake work on a Hitachi V-422 oscilloscope, an item that's normally used to observe electrical signals.


I can see myself playing something like pixel artist Kracov's isometric, 2D version of Doom for hours, trying to blow up everything and marvel at all the detailed pixel-explosions.
