The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back in a 2D fighting game, thanks to their recent addition to Injustice 2. The excellent new execution of Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael shows it's been too long since these turtles mixed it up.

Gushing over supers feels a bit passe now that we've had multiple Mortal Kombat and Injustice sequels. But at the end of the Injustice Pro Series, Netherealm unveiled Raiden as the newest character for Injustice 2, and damn has he got a fine super.

NetherRealm's hit DC Comics fighting game uses the conceit of the multiverse to explain the countless different versions of characters. Apparently, the Right Hand of Doom exists on one of those infinite earths, because Hellboy is part of a crop of new fighters coming to Injustice 2.

Tekken 7 player Bronson Tran lived up to his nickname "the Mouth of NorCal" this past Wednesday night local time when he received and rejected the MVP prize at E3's Twitch Esports Arena invitational. Fans nominated the MVP via Twitter hashtag, and the winner was supposed to get a T-Mobile phone. Except, as Bronson explained while standing on T-Mobile's stage, he uses AT&T and he'd rather not switch his data plan. Instead, Bronson plans to give his prize to a randomly selected Twitter fan.

Injustice 2 received its first major update on June 5, courtesy of developer NetherRealm Studios. The patch largely addresses lingering bugs in the DC Comics fighter, but it also included a new indicator that notes whether online opponents are playing over Wi-Fi. While it may seem like a minor addition, this represents a major step forward for the genre's netplay community, one that could also tear it in two.
