3D Realms, the beleaguered original developer of Duke Nukem Forever, will be acquired by a Danish firm that had been set to publish a new Duke Nukem game until both were sued last week by Gearbox Software .
And a kick-arse trailer too. Of course. Above’s a two-minute video description of the 1.1 patch for retro-styled FPS Rise of the Triad, which contains five free multiplayer maps in addition to “hundreds” of fixes and tweaks, some of which were suggested by the community.
When I see it in action, the insane pacing of Rise of the Triad looks seizure-inducing. I don’t mean that in a bad way; it’s frenetic, fast and furious, and its old-school action will no doubt endear it to many.
