You might have that one auntie who displays a level of sass and verbal kung-fu that is simultaneously cool and frightening. For Wonder Woman, that auntie is Athena, which makes it very entertaining when the goddess of wisdom and war visits the World's Greatest Superheroes.

So far, Justice League Action has give us dance routines, Batman vs Superman fighting game matches and a very insectoid version of the Parasite. That's all been very fun, and it looks like images of a smiling Swamp Thing will continue in that vein. Or root. Whatever.

Imagine if you went back to an episode of the beloved DC animated series Justice League or Justice League Unlimited, but you fast-forwarded through every moment that wasn't a fight scene -- every plot point, every moment of character development, everything that wasn't someone punching something. What you'd be left with is Justice League Action.

I mean, I bet if DC and Cartoon Network could get away with calling this show Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman Action instead of Justice League Action, they probably would.

Video: Also? It's fun. It's a lot of fun. There's definitely some silliness here -- hell, Batman even smirks after drops a minor quip after kicking Mr Freeze in the head -- but anyone looking for some good, straight-up superhero-vs-supervillain action should be pleased with WB Animation's newest DC offering.
