At E3 Sunday, Shinji Mikami announced GhostWire: Tokyo, the next game by Evil Within series developers Tango Gameworks. Creative director Ikumi Nakamura described it as an action-adventure game with horror elements where the player rids the city of a “supernatural evil.” Check out the eerie trailer below.
When most players finish Resident Evil, they will be rewarded with an ending and the credits roll. But when the most dedicated and hardcore players finish Resident Evil under a set of ridiculously challenging conditions, the developers reward them with a thank you note.
In case you forgot that the creative lead on The Evil Within is the also the guy who helped birth 1996 PS1 classic Resident Evil, Shinji Mikami’s new game has a not-so-subtle reminder.
