The second of South Park: The Fractured But Whole’s two big expansions launched today, and just like the first one, it adds a new area, class, and buddy to the show’s perverse version of Colorado. Bring the Crunch is a bit longer than March’s From Dusk Till Casa Bonita, although it’s not nearly as fun.


Last week, a poster on the message board NeoGAF asked why South Park: The Fractured But Whole was taking so long to develop. After all, isn't 2D easy to draw? "First and foremost," the poster wrote, "the game uses the same graphical style as the show. Which is probably the easiest to make." Well, my dear Mousnis, making a crummy-looking 2D game can be complicated.


With the rise of virtual reality headsets, we've always joked about gadgets designed to stimulate the other neglected senses -- smell being the next in line. It's one of those ideas that sounds kind-of cool... until it isn't. I'm just going to say one word... and that word is "farts". As Ubisoft's "Nosulus Rift" shows, not all of humanity's creations should see the light of day.


I've been a fan of South Park for nearly 20 years. I've watched every episode, played every game, and at one point even dug up a copy of series co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone's first movie, Cannibal: The Musical (unexpectedly good!). In other words, you'd think they wouldn't be able to keep surprising me.


The funny thing about E3 is how it's all about That First Reaction. The curtains rise. The lights dim. The speakers begin to boom. Or in Sony's case, the orchestra.

And then everything comes to a close and the internet sits around deciding Who Won. But in my case, I went back and rewatched everything. The trailers, the speeches, the streams. All of it. At least three times. And you know what? I'm bloody glad I did.
