When you parse a lot of the coverage from Gamescom this year, you'll see a lot of fanfare about games from all walks of life. But one game that's flying under the radar is a plucky little kung fu RPG called Biomutant. And that's a mistake.

Biomutant is Experiment 101's upcoming open world, anthropomorphic animal action RPG. Originally revealed at last year's Gamescom, studio head Stefan Ljungqvist recently went a little more in-depth on some of what's in the game, including its character creator, at a PC Gamer event.
Elex is a terribly constructed video game full of glitches, lag, eye-sores, and confusing mechanics. I would not recommend most people go through the pain of playing this RPG. And yet, despite all of this, I am obsessed with Elex. I can't stop playing it. In a year of incredible releases, Elex manages to be one of the best and worst.

It took a few years, but Nordic's plans for de Blob, created by Melbourne's now-defunct Blue Tongue Entertainment, have finally come to fruition. Snagged back in 2014 during the THQ firesale it was unclear what was to happen to the popular franchise, but now we know -- a revamped PC version, which you can pick up now from Steam or GOG.
The market for intricate, hardcore military sims isn't what it used to be. Sure, games like Battlefield 1 might partially scratch the itch, but who remembers the likes of Delta Force, Joint Operations or even the F-16 and F-22 games from NovaLogic? THQ Nordic does and rather than let these treasured IPs rot, has snapped them up along with the NovaLogic brand.
