I can't stop buying Final Fantasy Trading Card Game booster packs. The iconic artwork printed on high-quality card stock - I particularly love how the textured card backs feel on my fingers. And the gameplay, well... I've never actually played it. I'm sure it's nice.

Ixalan, the 76th Magic: The Gathering expansion, was released on Friday. Featuring dinosaurs and pirates, I had thought that what I'd love about this set most would be squishing my opponents while borne upon the backs of giant reptiles, and possibly wearing a jaunty tricorne hat. Yet the thing that excited me most about building my next deck was a simple rule change.

Last Thursday I travelled to Mustard Seed Church at Ultimo for the pre-release of the new Magic: The Gathering expansion. Though a bit of a Magic nerd, I wasn't expecting to leave as excited for the new block as I did.
