Each August, traditional lantern floats are carried through the city of Aomori. This year, joining the traditional Japanese samurai floats, were Star Wars characters. Fitting, I know.

George Lucas was heavily influenced by Japanese culture, so even if this is part of a Star Wars PR push, it makes sense.

Am i missing something here? a dedication to Iwata would be fitting, but Star Wars?
