Our long nightmare is over: the next Call of Duty game is indeed, after all, actually coming to Wii U, despite the debate over whether it may maybe may or may not actually have been coming.
It will be out on November 5.
To quote Activision’s bold-filled press release:
Call of Duty: Ghosts — Featuring an all-new world, story, characters and experiences, all powered by a new engine, Call of Duty: Ghosts is a stunning leap forward for the blockbuster franchise. For the first time in Call of Duty, gamers play as the underdog, fighting as part of a single squad against an enemy that has superior numbers and firepower. Call of Duty: Ghosts‘ genre-defining multiplayer delivers gameplay innovations throughout, including dynamic map events, character customisation and other features yet-to-be-announced. The title includes Wii Remote and second-screen Wii U™ GamePad support and more. Call of Duty: Ghosts is scheduled for release on November 5, on Wii U and is not yet rated by the ESRB.
So there you go. Let’s see if they can get more people playing this time around.

Nice, Wiimote support makes this a buy for me!
Good. I seriously doubt this (if any) would be the version I’d buy, but if gaming’s biggest franchise took a pass on WiiU … That’d really be saying something.
Why was there anybody thinking it wouldn’t be released on Wii U? EA has passed up the shooter market on Wii U by not bringing BF4 over. Activision would be nuts not to be the exclusive go to shooter on the Wii U…. its not like the game did terrible on the Wii U (250k copies on Wii U, more than enough to turn a profit on a quick and dirty port)
