Well, except for Sanosuke. But, in all fairness, it might distract from the play if his actress went around bare-chested.
On Wednesday, all-female acting troupe Takarazuka Revue held an event to show off the cast of their upcoming Rurouni Kenshin musical. Better still, the cast was in full costume; and Japanese website Natalie was there to capture the event on film (be sure to check out their full gallery) .
So let’s compare the Takarazuka cast with their anime counterparts.

why are they all females?
Probably because the musical/acting troupe that have decided to make the adaptation: Takarazuka Revue are all women.
Kenshin is voiced by a woman in the anime also. 🙂
I misread that as Kenichi from Kenichi The Mightiest Disciple and got a little excited.
That Kanryu is absolutely perfect! Saito ain’t too bad either… but where is Yahiko?
The 3 live action movies are amazing. Must see.
