2015 has been a weird year for me and video games. In one way, it's been defined by the fact there's been a shortage of games that I've found really memorable, to the point where picking out ten for this list was tough work. In another, that might be because I spent almost the entire year playing The Witcher 3.
I run Kotaku's Fine Art feature, which is about highlighting the work of artists working in the video game business. Which means I've showcased thousands of images over the course of 2015, and this time of year -- when I'm asked to pick the best of it -- is always tough.
Every year in video games brings with it some lovely surprises, but every year also brings some sorry disappointments.
