This holiday season, I received the most precious gift of all: a bit of free time. I ended up using it mostly to play an ungodly amount of Fallout 4 (it's alright), but also to check out a handful of Steam games from last year that I never quite got around to.
Yesterday I played one of Jotun's boss battles over and over for 6, 7, 8 hours. I died dozens (hundreds?) of times. I should hate it, right? Nope, I loved every agonizing second of it.
This is Jotun. It's an "action-exploration" game, where you control a viking who has died an "inglorious death". That doesn't sound good.
