Dubbed the “Study Cube”, this wooden box allows you or someone you love to buckle down and study, study, study. And when they are tired of studying, they can study some more.
Or they can stare at the frosted window in front of them. Or gaze out the window on the door… Or think about their life…
And don’t worry about staying in the box too long — there’s ventilation! And extra bookshelves!
The Study Cube has been out in South Korea for over a year, and it does resemble a sound-proof room Yamaha released a few years back. And like that Yamaha room, the Study Cube doesn’t look to be a mainstay of Korean houses (so don’t assume that it is!).
Wouldn’t you like a study box of your own?
If so, the Study Cube comes in two different styles and is priced at 2.35 million won ($2164).
Look how proud you’ll make everyone!

this would make a great sound isolation booth!
that, or 7 minutes in heaven.
The first kid is absolutely stoked.
Now introducing, the Auschwitz portable!
I feel sorry for the kid
studying isn’t always the answer
In South Korea, where this is from. they have whole libraries full of these little boxes (They do have to pay for the use of them).
I don’t even know where to begin to go through how many levels this is fucked up on…….
The insane tiger-mum parenting?
Mollycoddle generation?
I’m sorry…. but a part of parenting is hardening up your child to deal with the real world. Learning to focus and block out distractions is a useful life skill.
Ironically, I feel that with all of these children being pushed so damn hard to succeed like this, my own child will be the most successful simply by being the only one that hasn’t offed themselves…
bllehhh, it’s late…. hell with this…. http://bit.ly/MS3Gxx
“Two grand fer a box? Fuck off. Tell ya what. We’re garn dahn Bunnings, grab us some shit, stop by Dan’s, and knock one up in the arvo. Cost ya nuffin’, mate. Nuffin’.”
I think they will sell like hotcakes if they make a TARDIS study box LOL…
Beside, the design flaws I see all the tiger mums will be complaining about is the lack of locking mechanism from the outside ;D
Looks like gold farming central to me. They could be so much more productive with a shed full of these!
You know what makes people sound stupid? Calling something a cube when it isn’t a cube. This is not a cube.
