Activision showed off the trailer for the zombie mode in Call of Duty: WWII at a San Diego Comic-Con panel today and, surprise, there are a lot of Nazi zombies!
The zombie mode will include an original story that features the voice acting talents of Doctor Who‘s David Tennant and Daredevil‘s Elodie Young, among others. Here’s Activision’s description of the campaign:
Players will embark on a chilling and mysterious journey through a snowy Bavarian village in Mittelburg, Germany, as they attempt to recover priceless works of art stolen by the Axis powers in World War II. This village holds a shadowy secret key to an unimaginable and monstrous power.
The trailer offers a short look inside a Nazi horror dungeon that implies the zombies are the result of some vile experiments with a voice over talking about a “new kind of soldier”. It’s like coming home in a sick and gruesome way since the zombies mode first got its start with Nazis in Call of Duty: World at War nearly a decade ago.
Call of Duty: World War II is due out this spring on November 3 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
