Kotaku’s Community Service Award Prizes Are…

Yes, it's back! After a short hiatus we are once again handing out swag to the reader who contributed the most thoughtful, articulate, helpful and worthwhile comments over the past seven days. Let's take a look at this swag.

It works like this: each week I publish a list of ten items – grouped in five pairs – taken from the 2010 Big Pile Of Crap. And each week I announce the weekly prize winner. That winner will then be able to choose five items – one from each pair – from the pile to be delivered to their door.

Your ten items for this week are:

1. Super Mario Galaxy 2 travel coffee mug ... or a PlayStation drink bottle 2. "Genetically-Enhanced" BioShock 2 Eve Hypo ... or Naughty Bear plush toy 3. Monster Hunter Tri enviro-bag ... or Wii Sports Resort enviro-bag 4. Street Fighter IV Xbox 360 game with Ryu and C. Viper figures ... or God of War III game and wooden box media kit 5. 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa Xbox 360 game ... or MySims Party Wii game

Look!

Also, just a quick shout-out to Matt K, designer of the Community Service Award logo up there. I promised I'd send a small thank you gift to whomever designed the preferred logo, so Matt... you can choose one gift from these:

* Transformers: War for Cybertron Xbox 360 game * Supreme Commander 2 PC game * Mass Effect 2 Xbox 360 game * Mass Effect 2 PC game * Red Dead Redemption tshirt (XL only) * BioShock 2 tshirt (M only)

    Welcome back, KCSA!
Your recognition and sweet swag have been missed.

Is it just me, or does Captain Planet look a lot like MacGyver?

Not just you! ;) I think it's the mullet!

      Mind. Blown.

Damn! Now it comes back! Will you be looking back to previous weeks? :0

man i want this really really really really really badly; but i never win anything so i'm not even going to try.

But if you don't try, how are you going to win?

That's what I thought too, and it happened. Just stick with it Nicholas, and I'm sure we'll be seeing your name as a winner very soon ;)

And, as Cracks said, props to you guys for giving this away to make the Kotaku comments section a nicer place to be :)

    Ooh, shiny...
It's awesome that Kotaku AU is willing to give out all this stuff to promote good behaviour, rather than just hoarding or ditching it. Props to Wildgoose and Co.

ooh ooh those SF figures look good, and and the eve hypo, oooh its all so good a pity i wasn't more active. oh well good luck to all.

    My hypothetical choices...

Super Mario Galaxy 2 travel coffee mug
    "Genetically-Enhanced” BioShock 2 Eve Hypo
    Monster Hunter Tri enviro-bag
God of War III game and wooden box media kit
2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa Xbox 360 game

Awesome swag for it's first week back!

It's good to see it back :)

Just by any chance, are any of these items on the retail market?

And... is it wrong of me to think the naughty bear plush toy actually looks cute?

Outside of the games, to my knowledge none of the other items are commercially available. Pretty sure they were only made for promotional purposes, ie. given away to media, retailers, etc.

I know GAME gave away the Naughty Bear Plush with preorders, (I have one sitting on my shelf, staring at me right now!), and the Wii Sports Resort Bag was also given to people on launch (I have one of those too :p)

Nice... time to spam every available posts lol

i have an odd feeling that if i were to win i would need to develop a coffee habit :P

    Good too see it's back.

Man I want to get that naught bear toy so I can tear it to shreds to show my massive dislike for the terrible game it was. GRRRR.... STUPID F-ING GAME!!!

    Awesome, thanks David!
I've been hearing a lot of good things about War For Cybertron, so I'd love a copy of that :)
Do you need me to re-email you my details?

    Thanks again dude!

I'm dissapointed with the lack of green tea.

I checked the use by date on it...
