NIS America Readies Disgaea For The Vita And Android

Along with the second instalment of the Hyperdimension Neptunia for the PlayStation 3 and the Western release of Acquire’s multiplayer action game Clan of Champions, NIS America today announced two new-ish entries in the Disgaea series for the PlayStation Vita and Android devices. What’s getting ported this time?

The PlayStation Vita game, due out in spring of last year, is port of Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice for the PlayStation 3. Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention will include new maps, new game systems, and some new faces, including the kitty girl you see up top.

Android device owners will get their dose of Disgaea this fall with Disgaea: Netherworld Unbound, a mobile port of the game that started it all. Larger than any mobile game deserves to be, players will be able to purchase additional characters, items, and features to enhance their experience. Yay microtransactions.

Clan of Champions, due out next spring for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC, is a “hardcore multiplayer action game” from the makers of Tenchu. Players pick from one of three characters, go on co-op missions, or fight against others in 3-on-3 arena battles.

And Hyperdimension Neptunia MK2 might just make up for the first game with free-roaming battles and an item crafting system. It’s due out spring 2012 for the PS3.

Me? I’m just here for Disgaea on my phone. I don’t care if I’ve already played it on the PlayStation 2, DS, and PSP. I’m ready to play again.
