Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault Landing On PSN Later This Year

Ratchet & Clank has a 10-year anniversary coming up, and in addition to remastering and re-releasing existing games, Insomniac has announced an all-new game: Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault.

The developers promise a return "to the series' classic feel, camera, controls and weapons", while also adding as yet unspecified "online features" to the game.

The game is scheduled for release on PS3 via the PlayStation Network during the 2012 Christmas season.

In Europe (and probably Australia) , it'll also have a Blu-Ray release and will be named Ratchet and Clank: QForce.

Good to see they are going back to normal rather than a coop game again

I'm getting the feeling this is like R&C : Gladiator... which isn't my favourite game, but I did have fun with it, so I'll be getting it regardless, but hoping that this is indeed brand new full story arc.

Great news. I hope its less of a short expansion like quest for booty & more story driven like a crack in time. Btw, what happened to the double entendre in the title Insomniac?

US Title is "Full Frontal Assault"

ratchet and clank series is one of the best games i have played but this is just milking should have stoped at crack in time and even that game was weak

A crack in time was the best Ratchet and Clank game released so far. All for one was the disappointment.

Though I do wish they'd just stop, it was the perfect conclusion, and would have been a good time to move onto a new IP.

I need to go back and finish Cracks in Time - although I loved it I inexplicably stopped playing it halfway through. I think I got distracted by other games, but that's not much of an excuse ...

Crack in Time was amazing. Easily the best since Up Your Arsenal.
I'm always saddened by their co-op efforts, Deadlocked/Gladiator and All4One were both thoroughly disappointing. Hopefully this game finally does it right.

Agreed. R&C excels as a single-player game - those co-op efforts, while spin-offs, seem like a waste of resources to me.
