If You’re Living A Virtual Lie, MTV Wants To Put You On TV

MTV is putting together a new reality TV series based on people who are living virtual lives. And not doing a very good job of it. While it’ll feature people who use fake identities on sites like Facebook and eHarmony, the producers also want to feature gamers.

Given the fact it’s on MTV you’d be forgiven for thinking it’ll be about making fun of those showcased, but we’re promised it’ll be a more serious affair (i.e. shot in a more documentary style), aimed at helping people who have painted themselves into a virtual corner to get out by, say, pretending to be someone online lie about their job, pick up a girl.

If that sounds like you, or you know someone up to their eyeballs in internet lies and think they need help, there’s more info on taking part in the show here and here.
