Giant LEGO Ball Machine Is An Exercise In Eyeball Intimidation

Japanese LEGO builder Akiyuki makes complex machines out of plastic bricks and pieces. Which kind of doesn't prepare you for what you're about to see.

He's combined all sorts of arms, contraptions and other devices into this enormous Great Ball Contraption, a sort of Rube Goldberg machine for robots. And balls.

There are 17 individual machines from beginning to end. An 18th might be needed just to get my jaw off the floor.

That is insane. how long would it take to make and sync it.

Never mind it says at the end

I got excited and then realised it was a video I watched a year or so ago. -_-

I was about to watch it, thought it looked familiar, and yep you're right. Saw it over a year ago, thanks :D

Man this is awesome !! dude must have some patience putting this together .

I can't believe I watched the whole thing. Surely there's a better use of my limited bandwidth.

Pretty awesome though. I loved the race between Blue and Red. That white/blue ball was a no show though.

I love things like this - one of the best is this ball machine made of K*nex http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?feature=plpp&v=8-zcsieI8kM
It doesn't't have awesome robots though.

And tonight's winning Lotto numbers are!

(I was actually looking for footage of the old Play School deal where they revealed the day of the week with the tiered rolling ball etc but no dice)

Alright kids, pack everything up. Its time for bed!

There's a lot of magnificent machinery there, but a lot of repetition too- he has the same rotating screw type device for moving balls up or along over and over. It'd be better if he cut those back to just two .

i saw this well over a year ago.... just sayin :\

If I had infinite Dollars, this is what I'd make.
