Then they’d probably look a little like these stereotypical 80s/90s characters, which are illustrated by the ever-talented Mike Wrobel.
Why these characters, and not other, more iconic ones? Well, this set of Game of Thrones characters are just a few in a long series of illustrations in this same spirit. You can see earlier characters here, and I suspect, given the huge cast, we’ll probably get a few more sets. For now we have Robb Stark, his wife Talisa Maegyr, Bran, White Walkers (!), the Hound, Ygritte, and Twin Lannister. Enjoy!
Side note: some of the cast probably was born in the 90s and may have even dressed like this! Not everyone, though.

Tywin had a twin? I hope he wasn’t snagging her too.
If they were born in the nineties, I doubt they’d be wearing kitschy fashion from the year of their birth. Why are plunkett and patricia hernandez now suddenly the ‘Game of Thrones’ editors here? Their obvious unfamiliarity with the material, shameless bandwagoning and shitposting virtually anything that they found a week ago on reddit or tumblr is wearing thin.
Isn’t that what Kotaku is? “Look at all these articles we found on the web but didn’t write ourselves!!!”
Seems that way these days. Kotaku used to produce real content but after Crecente and Tracey left for Polygon, the new US writers they brought in to replace them aren’t even potty trained and no one’s left to edit Plunkett’s brainfarts.
Not to mention, this is the third article they’ve managed to milk out of one set of ‘only mildly amusing the first time’ pictures.
errrm i was in high school in the 90’s – where are the hi flat tops and air jordans? the chicks in bike pants? the vanilla ice funky chicken?
Icedood made me lol
Nineties fashion as imagined by a ninteen year old hipster.
