While the Hollywood Ghost in the Shell movie with Scarlett Johansson lurches forward, a new GiTS stage play recently opened in Tokyo.
It’s called Ghost in the Shell Arise: Ghost is Alive. It’s totally official, and the poster looks totally terrific:

Ghost in the Shell Arise: Ghost is Alive runs until November 15. You can see more on the play’s official site. The Hollywood movie comes out sometime never, I hope.

What do people think of GitS Arise? TBH I found it quite boring :/
It’s not that bad or that good. It is hampered by the fact that it bears the GITS name which has borne some great series and movies.
If you compare it to the landscape, it was actually one of the better animes that year…
