With Breath of the Wild being, you know, a pretty OK video game, not to mention a Zelda game with cool character design, it's probably safe to assume that 2017 is going to be full of killer Link and Zelda cosplay. So let's get started on that.
Early in The Legend of Zelda. Breath of the Wild, I discovered a puzzle shrine containing a small maze. Inside that maze was a little ball. The goal, I realised, was to manoeuvre the ball out of the maze and slide it into a nearby funnel. To do this, I'd have to rotate my Nintendo Switch controller, using motion controls to turn the maze around and let gravity move the ball through each corridor. One wrong move and the ball would fall out, forcing me to start again.
Video games have changed so dramatically with another console generation passing by and an endless number of game releases. But while it's important to celebrate the fanatastic achievements of games over the last decade, it's also important to explore the failures: the games that broke our hearts, kicked us while we were down and laughed at our misery. These were the games that failed to live up to their potential, the ones that crashed and burned, and the ones that we wish had never been made. Welcome to our list of the most disappointing games of the decade.
