Via Toychan, the man on the platform is watching a VR roller coaster simulator, which is made realer thanks to some analogue elbow grease.
Well, it’s probably more responsive than your typical VR set up.

We do this exact thing with VR outreach to rural schools. I’m not as strong, so we use an office chair, and manually work it for the coaster ride.
