Tragedy struck in mid-dance number during the Pokemon World Festival in Incheon, South Korea earlier this week, as the lead Pikachu sprung a leak during “You Can’t Stop The Beat”. Fortunately an elite squad of suited men was standing by.
The incident occurs at the 1:00 mark in the video below, posted by YouTube user Green Lime and shared via The Verge. As the Pikachu slowly melts in front of a horrified (amused) crowd, the suits leap into action, led by a man in a long-sleeved T-shirt.
The reasons behind the Pikachu’s deflation are unclear, but I strongly suspect it has something to do with “Uptown Funk”.
The suited men attempted to rehabilitate the injured pocket monster and return him to the wild at around 4:35.
But as the song ended, so did the hopes of the saggiest little Pikachu.

Saw this comment on YouTube that sounds about right lol
“The pikachu started deflating and the staff rushed to take it off stage but the guards thought it was a spectator and rushed to stop the guy.”
A staff member rushed out and the security had no clue so they went to stop him till they realised he was a staff member.
Momma, why are the FBI arresting Pikachu?!?
It’s like when Pikachu started deflating the staff and security went “Hey! That’s not a real Pikachu, get ’em!”
That was oddly adorable.
Aside from the deflated pikachu, why is the sole female pikachu being picked on about halfway through?
