But, pro players study the games they excel at from every possible angle. Here’s what it looks like when a top-level player explains the best way to aim and shoot in Valve’s long-lived Counterstrike series.
This video from Jordan “n0thing” Gilbert breaks down how recoil affects aim and the best ways to compensate for that when running and gunning. The knowledge he’s dropping isn’t new in and of itself but it’s a clear, approachable example of the kind of insights that pros focus in on to improve their skills. It’s also worth nothing that Gilbert mentions game feel and drills a few times, making clear that it’s not just enough to know about something like recoil management. You also have to practice it enough to make something like that automatic. Very good stuff.
