It sounds like a viral marketing project. A Russian man is suing Bethesda Game Studios after he went on a three-week-long Fallout 4 binge, a confusing decision that led to his boss firing him and his wife leaving him. Heck, it might be a viral marketing project.
And yet, there is paperwork. “If I knew that this game could have become so addictive, I would have become a lot more wary of it. I would not have bought it, or I would have left it until I was on holiday or until the New Year holidays,” said the 28-year-old Siberian in a statement. He wants 500,000 roubles ($9765) for the emotional distress that this ordeal has caused him. Meanwhile, the law firm representing him said they were going to “see how far we can go regarding this case.”
That’s not a bad strategy for anything in life. Except for Fallout 4, in this case. It’s probably safe to say that the plaintiff had some other issues with his work and home life that might’ve led him to play a video game for 21-days straight while forgoing food and sleep. Beware of that Fallout 4 business, though. It seems dangerous on a number of levels.

Pay him out in bottlecaps
Douche
It’s good but it’s not good enough to claim it took your job and wife.
Neither of them could have been that good anyway if he only values the two of them COMBINED at $9765.
Isn’t that just the general damages? The economic loss would be added to that.
As if this wasn’t an ongoing problem & Fallout 4 wasn’t the final straw.
Sort out your own shit, you’re a crap human being.
Also, law firm, fuck off.
Next year, he plans to sue Kleenex for enabling him to jerk-off 18 times a day.
Sounds like this guy has been huffing too much Psycho
When i saved my game last night i finally bothered to look at how long ive been playing – 10 days, 2 hrs n 28 mins. Over 250 hours since nov 11 (i have been on holi’s for the past 3 weeks to be fair). I live in a very game friendly household but also decided that i really need to get out n visit friends and just simply go do things out of the house. But no, im not calling the lawyers or blaming anyone else for it. What an arsehat.

If the law firm is trying to establish some landmark case for game addiction, there’s better examples out there than Fallout.
Like Bungie, who actually hired an expert in the field of game addiction for Destiny.
the main source is RT so ill take this with two pallets of salt
Crazy thing is it comes off as the lesser of two evils compared to many current western news outlets at the moment.
I would read RT over most US based news sites when it comes to a few subjects.
Yeah, RT is the news.com.au of their media.
Why would you play fallout if you lived in Russia?
Huh?
Isn’t he living it already?
I suppose, living with the fallout of Fallout. (Although I’m thinking you mean Chernobyl)
I am thinking of Russia as a mess to live in, less than the nuclear fallout of Chernobyl.
