Studio Ghibli is doing a long-form adaptation of Diana Wynne Jones’ novel Earwig and the Witch. Previously, the studio adapted the author’s 1986 fantasy novel Howl’s Moving Castle. This will be Ghibli’s first full-length CGI feature.
Princess Mononoke wolf goddess Gillian Anderson is lending her pipes to another Studio Ghibli project: Recent Amazon Original Kids Series acquisition Ronja the Robber’s Daughter. Originally made for Japanese TV, it’s a 26-part anime adventure directed by Goro Miyazaki, son of Mononoke director Hayao Miyazaki.
