This special edition of the Cyborg R.A.T. 7 features all of the mighty morphing power of its darker forefathers, including transforming pinkie and palm rests, adjustable weight, and powerful programming options, along with an enhanced 6400DPI and improved tracking technology. It’s compatible with Mac and PC. These are important features. Features I couldn’t care less about.
What I do care about is the Albino edition’s stunning look. It’s like it was yanked off one of the EVAs from Neon Genesis Evangelion. This is the sort of mouse I’d like to think Rei Ayanami uses when surfing for porn. You can’t put a price tag on this much sexy.
You can’t, but Mad Catz can, and that tag reads $US99. Find out where to buy the Cyborg R.A.T. Albino Gaming Mouse at its official product page.

Friday, August 12, 2011 at 8:17 AMAlthough I own a RAT7 already I am tempted to pick this up. Sure it’ll mean that I’ll have to get a new case for my secondary rig to match it but damn it’ll be a sexy combo.

Friday, August 12, 2011 at 8:19 AMI ordered one of these in black recently from ozgameshop. Paid around US$96. I’m with Fahey on this one – I could care less about the “gaming” features. I just wanted a mouse that would work well, and I thought the Transformers look on this was pretty cool :)

Friday, August 12, 2011 at 2:43 PMI got a RAT 5 from Ozgameshop, I considered getting the RAT 7 but couldn’t justify the extra cost. I’ve found that despite appearances the RAT 5 is really good, the software that comes with it isn’t all that brilliant.

Friday, August 12, 2011 at 8:28 AMHave a RAT-7 as well not sure if you guys who also have one noticed but this thing has problems working on hard black surface. I was using mice with no pad previously (just my black wooden desk) and this mouse couldn’t even sync the cursor.

Friday, August 12, 2011 at 12:55 PMFWIW I bought a Rat 7 last year while on a trip OS and it looks great, feels great because its so adjustable to your hand but lived up to the Madcatz name for quality when it simply stopped working all together after a month or 2. Maybe it was just bad luck but I’m always tempted to get another it really was great while it lasted ;) Also can confirm the poor performance on a black surface as mentioned above.
