Club Nintendo Now Rewards With Games

Nintendo of America’s rewards program just got a lot more interesting for those of us not into Nintendo-themed fans, notebooks and patches. Starting today, Club Nintendo loyalists can also earn 3DS and Wii games.

The overhauled Club Nintendo website already has Super Mario Kart (100 coins) and Fluidity (150 coins) listed for the Wii. Other game options include 100 Coins for 3D Classics: Xevious and 150 Coins for Mario vs. Donkey Kong: Minis March Again! for the Nintendo 3DS system. These two games normally sell for $US5.99 and $US7.99 respectively.

Don’t worry, Nintendo didn’t get rid of all of that other stuff. They’ve actually expanded it, adding Nintendo-themed notebooks and pen cases and a set of limited-edition posters honouring the 25th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda.

The current round of downloadable games will be available through Jan. 10 with new offers hitting next month. Future games will be based on members’ feedback, Nintendo says.
