Telltale Apologises For The Walking Dead Delays, Promises Next Installment In August

First, the good news: the next instalment of Telltale’s five-part series of The Walking Dead has a release target. Episode three, “Long Road Ahead,” is due out in the middle of August, roughly a month from now.

But the bad news is, that’s still only an approximate target. Telltale has had some trouble getting their game out in front of fans, even though both episodes so far have been very well received.

In a statement on their blog, Telltale apologized to fans for the delays they’ve faced in releasing The Walking Dead across all its promised platforms. They write:

Our goal from day one has been to deliver your game episodes as quickly as possible, and where we can, simultaneously across all platforms and regions. We’ve been working closely with our phenomenally supportive partners to try to make this a reality. We will continue to work on this and furthermore, we will strive to improve our communication with you so that you know what’s happening. Please rest assured that we are doing all we can to get your game episodes to you as quickly as possible.

Of course, that’s not a promise that the episodes will be released more quickly or simultaneously in the future, but it is a sign that they’re trying. Perhaps if they didn’t have zombies chewing on all the cables, these things would be easier. Zombies, man. They wreck everything.
