Morning everyone! It’s Monday, and often that might feel like cause for complaint. But not today; as Jonathan Coulton so nicely put it, I feel fantastic.
Partly, that’s down to an excellent gaming weekend – a mix of GODS, ZombiU, XBLA Minecraft and New Super Mario Bros U with the kids and a nice run through Mark Of The Ninja; if last weekend was any indication of what kind of gaming I’m going to be able to get away with in 2013, it’s going to be a fantastic year indeed.
Over the weekend, Warner Bros played its card in the still unwinding saga that is the THQ bankruptcy; while some are calling the whole process a farce, Warners just wants more time to perform due diligence.
I wouldn’t particularly think about selling off my Wii U just yet, but if you did pick up a second-hand unit, it appears that you get an unexpected bonus, as apparently the tie-in between games account and console means that any downloaded games are still yours to grab, even if the original account was deleted from that console.
Having had a good weekend’s gaming — but being aware that my other responsibilities don’t always allow for that — I’ve got to give a lot of respect to Kotaku Australia’s own Logan Booker in his attempt to Cannonball the entire Mass Effect series. Cannonball Run. Hmm. I’m not a huge fan of Hollywood’s endless recycling of ideas, but why hasn’t that particular franchise been dusted off recently?
