      Kojima has expressed a few times that he doesn’t consider the Twin Snakes version of MGS1 to be the canon/true version of the game. He’s actually been inadvertently catty about it previously (as he was with Portable Ops).

      There’s also the licensing issues, what with Nintendo being the distributor of Twin Snakes, and with the title being developed by Silicon Knights, who had an exclusivity deal with Nintendo at the time. It’s all a bit messy. They’d also have to remove all the Nintendo references, and they’ve already got the PS1 Classic version of MGS1 ready to go.

   This was really what I expected from the original collection, but still no Twin Snakes or the Portable Ops (which is canon). Probably just going to hold out for the PS4 version now.

   No Twin Snakes, understandable, because Nintendo.

   No Portable Ops is also understandable, because it was a horrible game. 😛

   Also- SNAKE? SNAKE?! SNAKKE- MORE SNAKE?! SNAKKKEEEEE!

   I already have all those games. As a MG fan I want Portable Ops and the even the Acid games so I have everything! I have MGS1 from PSN already and I honestly like it more than Twin Snakes. Bummer.

   Well, while I have all of those games, it’ll definitely help some of my friends get in to the series. It was kinda’ hard to recommend the HD collection, since the first Solid game (My favourite in the series), in a series full of small nuances wasn’t included.

   What’s it mean by the original MSX versions? I’ve only played the 1st mgs game and its disappointing that there is no HD version for it.
