For the first time since 1991, a Madden game will not be released on Nintendo’s primary/current home console. Here’s the statement sent by EA to Nintendo World Report.
We will not be releasing a Wii U version of Madden NFL in 2013. However, we have a strong partnership with Nintendo and will continue to evaluate opportunities for delivering additional Madden NFL products for Nintendo fans in the future.
Sure, you could point to this and say it’s another blow for Nintendo’s beleagured console, already suffering from a lack of third-party support. Madden is, after all, one of the biggest-selling games in the US.
But then, considering how few people were playing the game last year — when Madden 13 did release on the Wii U — it’s not like it’s making a difference either way.

They probably made less money on the last game than it cost to port it to the Wii U.
Geez I feel like a bought a lame duck, and I cant even cook it and eat it 😛 Wii U is becoming another gamecube (which I still own one of to this day). I just really wanted something more this time around than just the usual stuff, life’s to short to just sit here and decompose while waiting for the next umpteenth Zelda or Mario game 🙁
Shit in the nest now EA, it will bit you in the arse very soon.
