The Tiniest Gaming Keyboard You Ever Did See

The Tiniest Gaming Keyboard You Ever Did See

Who says a tablet-sized keyboard has to be rectangular, lifeless and look like the inside of a leather case? Not Mad Catz. I reckon if they did say that it could potentially mess with the sales of the S.T.R.I.K.E.Mmobile keyboard, coming this Christmas to a hand near you.

Part of Mad Catz’s GameSmart line of mobile-friendly accessories, the S.T.R.I.K.E.M keyboard is a tiny little slice of sleek and stylish convenience, connecting to mobile devices like the upcoming M.O.J.O. Android Micro-Console either via plain old Bluetooth or newfangled NFC with just a tap. It also features a slew of complicated-sounding technical details I am going to copy directly from the official announcement, because Mad Catz naming conventions make it very hard to type about things.

The S.T.R.I.K.E.M features micro P.U.L.S.E. scissor keys for crisp actuation with a tactile click response and an Optical Finger Navigation (OFN) Mouse Sensor with dedicated mouse buttons. Powered by a rechargeable Lithium Polymer Battery, the S.T.R.I.K.E.M features illuminated backlighting for use in darkened environments, dedicated media buttons with volume scroll wheel and on board memory used for storing multiple macro commands.

What do you need a mobile keyboard for? Well, consider that M.O.J.O. Android Micro-Console I mentioned previously. Mad Catz has announced it will, eventually, stream PC games from your computer to the television it is attached to. Gonna need a keyboard for that, right? Maybe a mouse as well? Oh, would you look at that.

While we’re still waiting on pricing for the cute little keyboard, we do know for certain that it comes in red, black and white.

The PC-streaming Android micro-console business is starting to heat up. It’s too early to tell if Mad Catz will have the best offering on the market, but it’ll certainly have the coolest-looking set of hardware around.
