Square Enix Is Releasing A Life-Sized JRPG Sword

Square Enix Is Releasing A Life-Sized JRPG Sword

This is Erdrick’s Sword. A powerful sword, the blade appeared in the first three Dragon Quest games, earning its spot as an iconic video game weapon. And you can buy one in the next few months.

Square Enix is releasing a one-to-one scale Erdrick’s Sword for 21,000 yen or $235. The sword measures over a metre long.

This replica is no a metal blade, but rather, it’s fibreglass and polyurethane — which don’t sound like materials for a powerful JRPG sword.

But collectors and cosplayers should get a kick out of it. Dunno if they’ll enjoy paying two hundred bucks for it.
