Welcome to the world of Aoki’s Pizza. Based in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, the local pizza maker has launched a series of, well, interesting pies over the years. For example…

Here’s what that looks like. Note that it also has miso katsu on it. Aichi, especially Nagoya, is famous for miso.

Terriyaki chicken pizza with mayo — which is rather normal for Japanese pizza. But look at all that lettuce! That’s not so normal.

Here’s a pizza designed after a Toyota. That’s right, a mini-van pizza. (The car maker is also based in Aichi, which might explain this. Well, no, it really doesn’t.)
Last month, it had a special Halloween pizza. You can see what it looked in real life in the top photo.
But Aoki’s upcoming pizza might be its most unusual yet. This is a chocolate bar pizza. With pineapple.

The candy bar is called Black Thunder, and it’s a popular, yet inexpensive Japanese candy bar. So, naturally, this is called Pizza Black Thunder.

Apart from that chocolate bar/ pineapple pizza those all look delicious in the extreme.

No ramen pizza? I feel disappointed !
Can we have a feature on how Japan only made photographed child pornography illegal earlier this year, and left drawn child pornography legal to appease Big Comics? I think it’s a bit more interesting than people pulling faces that apparently look like an alphabet or pizzas.
