Overpowered Bot Puts Top Smash Bros. Player In His Place

If you've paid any sort of attention to the competitive Super Smash Bros scene over the years, you've probably heard of Jason "Mew2King" Zimmerman. He's won countless championships in every iteration of Smash and advanced the scene with discoveries about game physics and technique. Recently, he lost to a CPU.

It all came of an audience challenge during a recent Super Smash Bros. Melee stream. His fans wanted him to take on a bot at max level and max handicap. Mew2King figured it wouldn't be too tough, so he went for it. Things did not go according to plan.

In the above video posted by Editing Angel (via The Daily Dot), Mr King floats like a butterfly with really great hand-eye coordination and stings like a bee who's been playing Smash Bros. for more than a decade, but he still gets one-shotted into oblivion by Ganondorf. But again, his CPU-controlled opponent is at max level and max handicap. This means that even light attacks send Mew2King flying while his rival, the (dis) honourable Mr Dorf, barely budges no matter how much punishment he absorbs.

Is it fair? Definitely not. But that's kinda the whole point. Even legends have their limits. And hey, at least Mew2King took it all in good fun, right?

I mean, you know, aside from the part where he went, "I hate everything! I really hate this game!"
