At the Pikachu Outbreak event in Yokohama, Pokemon GO players have been finding the shiny version of everyone’s favourite electric rodent.

Shiny Pokémon are rare alternate colour versions, and this Pikachu is a rather subtle variation.

You can compare the Shiny on the left with the standard Pikachu on the right.

There is also a Shiny Raichu.

Dammit how am I supposed to tell them apart? :p
The ears are grey
Cool.
It’s subtle, but it’s true to the rest of the games: https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pikachu_(Pok%C3%A9mon)#Sprites
Its yellow is a little more orange and its black a little more grey.
I wonder why pikachu ended up with the most subtle of all shiny variations….
