While fans will have to wait a while longer for Dark Souls to hit the Switch, you can at least start downloading the test version of the remaster on Xbox and PS4 today.

The test version of Dark Souls REMASTERED is available for download now on PS4 and Xbox One.

The test itself will only run for two days, May 11 and May 12, and will only run from 2000-2300 AEST each night. And while the entire download is only a few gigabytes, anyone who has had to deal with the torment of Australian internet will appreciate the extra pre-load time.

The Dark Souls REMASTERED test is free for all, although you will need Xbox Live / PS+. Microsoft’s listing adds that the game is enhanced for the Xbox One X as well, which is a nice touch.

Those playing on PC can … well, you can just play the original Dark Souls. The remastered version will be released on PC come May 25, and all platforms (including the Switch) will have dedicated multiplayer servers from launch.
