As part of its press release outlining the 3DS’ massive price cut, Nintendo also provided more detailed release information for two of the system’s more eagerly-anticipated titles, saying Super Mario 3D Land (November) and Mario Kart 7 (December) will be out in time for Christmas. As will Kid Icarus!

Is anyone else getting tired of Nintendo just pumping the same IP’s at us decade after decade?
Give me something original and I will have a reason to buy your console.
Why has nintendo been branded as the “innovative” ones? Show some real innovation and take a chance on some new content please nintendo.-

What does my frustration with nintendo have to do with sony?
This isn’t the fanboi war you’re looking for *waves hand* move along… -

With the exception of Gran Turismo, I can’t think of any Sony 1st Party Franchises past their first game. If you’ve ever complained about Call of Duty being derivative, you have to accept these gibes directed at Nintendo.

Yeah I was having a think about this last night actually…. trying to think of long running IP’s…..
Gran Turismo is the only first party IP I can come up with. Then the only exclusive I can come up with is MGS, though that has been ported to other stuff now.It is interesting though as we are out of the “mascot” era of hardware companies. Years ago, Sonic was Sega and Mario was nintendo. Maybe in the early days of the PSX it was Crash Bandicoot when people were searching for a comparison with Sony, but certainly not any more.

Can I just say this is awesome this along with the price cut I will definitely buy now, and if you don’t like them releasing the same stuff just don’t buy them

The price cut is awesome, very much so.
Let’s then move on to your next comment however, if I dont like them releasing the same stuff, then you are quite right! I will not buy it….
Then I am left with a pretty redundant price cut if there is no software to play on the thing.
I can’t be alone here, the sales figures alone show this, combined with a general community consensus is that there is a severe lack of software for the system. -

Thank you so much ed. It is so nice to see there are other people out there who call BS on Ninty’s ‘innovation’.

Hey Nintendo, with Kid Icarus coming out, how about some love for your other somewhat neglected franchises? I’d really like to see a new Advance Wars, or F-Zero. Or Wave Race. Y’know, something that isn’t yet another Mario game.
