If an Uncharted movie ever materialised, there are a number of directors that would come to mind before Seth Rogen. But it’s Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg that Naughty Dog has sought out specifically multiple times in the past, according to IGN.
“They’re constantly asking me and Evan to make the Uncharted movie,” Rogen told IGN. Despite being “huge fans” of the franchise, they didn’t go for it. They couldn’t figure out a treatment.
“It’s just going to be Indiana Jones. If we could figure out a way to make it not Indiana Jones, it’d be awesome,” Goldberg said.
The movie has been in development since 2007, and at one point they considered Mark Wahlberg as Nathan Drake. Even so, the film has no director attached to it.

Nathan Fillion. Joss Whedon. kthxbai.
Nathan Fillion 10 years ago? Sure. Nathan now? Nothanxkbai.
Weirdly, Nathan Fillion only really looks old on Castle. In real life he seems about 10 years younger than he does on TV.
But yes, Firefly era Nathan Fillion would have made a perfect Drake. Add Emily Rose and Bruce Campbell and you would have had the best film ever.
Nathan Fillion and Bruce Campbell has been my dream casting ever since they announced they were making a movie. Just slap some make up on Fillion, he’ll look younger. 😛
As for Seth’s comment about it just being Indiana Jones, so? Did they see the last Indy? Spielberg and Lucas screwed that one up big time. Just do better than that, don’t cast Shia LaBeouf and you’re all good.
Umm Nolan North as he is Nathan drake
Am I the only person sick to the death of Nolan North?
Yes. Yes you are.
Now that you mention it, I am. He’s good. Really, really good. But I’d like to see some more variety on the protagonist voice over front. Same goes for Troy Baker.
lol – Seth Rogen.
